Why Is There No 4th of July Makeup?

This will be a pretty short post. I’m in the middle of a few other projects, including launching my YouTube channel, which I am really excited about. I will be talking about that at a later date. For now, I just wanted to wish you a safe holiday, and pose the title question.

With the success of BH Cosmetics Sweet Shoppe “Bubble Gum” (blue) and “Cherry on Top,” (red) palettes, I am surprised no brand combined them with some neutrals (white). You would have a palette that I think would appeal to a lot of people. And what better way to celebrate America’s birthday? I’m thinking glittery packaging, sparkler highlighters….is it just me?

I think the only brand that did anything 4th of July related was Bath and Body with their “Firecracker Pop” collection. It has a citrus/cherry smell. I personally really liked it. By the way, they are having a really big sale right now, so if you are interested in picking anything up for the summer, head over there.

Speaking of summer, I would like to share a product I recently came across called “The FACE Illuminating Self-Tan Drops,” by Tan Luxe. These were part of Sephora’s reward bazaar, so I picked up a trial size with my points. It is really difficult to find a bronzer with no iron oxides. I have yet to come across one. These are drops you mix with a moisturizer or a serum. They are definitely not a bronzer, but they do give you a sunkissed glow, and contain no iron oxides. They are available in light/medium and medium/dark. The cost for a full size bottle is $49.00. You can find them here https://www.sephora.com/product/the-face-illuminating-self-tan-drops-P424988?skuId=2012235&icid2=skugrid:p424988:product.

Sorry the bottle is a little empty, I have been using these a lot lately.

In my next post I will be back talking about another palette. We will be diving into the world of Sigma. Until then I wish everyone a Safe and Happy 4th of July!!!

XOXOXO

***Update – I just wanted give an update about the Tan Lux Self Tan drops. Yesterday, when I wrote this, I had been wearing these drops for a few hours, and I had a nice glow. When I woke up this morning, I was significantly tanner. I had no idea tanning drops can take that long…you live you learn. I definitely went overboard. My advice is to start with no more than three drops ( I used 6) and see where you are the next day. With that said, I think my opinion on this product has actually improved, as I was really loving how my skin was looking today! Also, I forgot to mention, don’t forget to wash your hands after you use these drops. Otherwise you will wake up with sunkissed handsπŸ˜‹
