I don’t know, but wherever it is there are some amazing eyeshadows. Juvia’s place is another brand I have only learned about in the last two years. You can get it through their website or at Ulta. The average price for a palette is $15.00 to $20.00. The packaging is beautiful and reliable, although as far as I know they do not contain mirrors. But you have a mirror somewhere.
Juvia’s place is known for their amazing shimmers, and pigmented matte’s. They have some really incredible bright colors. I am a neutral palette girl, so these really do not appeal to me. However, I am curious if I could wear them. Their shimmers however, I can speak for and they are nothing short of gorgeous. Are they the most beautiful on the market? Maybe not, but they are definitely in the running. And let me say for drugstore price they also have some amazing duochromes. Actually, let me take that back. They have amazing duochromes for any price.
As for their other products, this is a brand I have not tried much else from, or heard that much about. Although they have a whole line of makeup, their stronghold seems to lie in their eyeshadows.
The one other thing I have tried is The Tribe highlighter. At the time of this writing it is on sale for $7.50 at Juvia’s Place | Makeup Palettes | Makeup Accessories | Foundation β Juviaβs Place (juviasplace.com). If you have textured skin, I highly suggest you pick this up. Honestly, I didn’t know what highlighter was until two years ago. I also did not realize I had textured skin until two years ago. Most highlighters will bring this out, but this one just melts. I really hope this is not being discontinued. The sale on the website and the fact that there is only one color available at Ulta does not give me hope.
Update – Blush Rose Eyeshadow Palette. Where did this come from? It has to be new. I picked this up along with The Nomad Palette, which I have wanted for a long time. Hopefully the makeup allergy gods are on my side. I also picked up the Blushed Duo Blush, Bronze Duo Bronzer and Heroine Glow II (was there a Heroin Glow I?) I got a free Bella Blush (I don’t think the color will work on me, but we will see) 20% off for my first website purchase, and the Blush and Bronzer Duos are on sale. Pretty good haul.
I have to say, I could not find the ingredients listed anywhere. I was especially interested in the eye liner ingredients. It’s very possible that I missed them. I sent them an email so we will see what they say. Let me know what you like from Juvia’s place. I have had luck with their Taupes palette as far as it being comfortable on my eyes, but I’m giving it it’s own post.
Update – I did something totally stupid. I posted this around the 7th, and today, the 19th, I am realizing that I never received my order. So….I went to look for the tracking number and cannot find the email. I did however find an email from Juvia’s place telling me that there were things left in my cart. Yup, I never actually made my purchase. And now pretty much everything I wanted is out of stock on the website. However, all is not lost, as it looks like these products have made it to Ulta. So I will be purchasing them there.
Also, Cynthia from Juvia’s place customer service was nice enough to get back to me about the eyeliner ingredients. I guess they are not on the website, but if you have any questions you can contact them…they will get back to you and they are lovely. PS…..the eyeliner has iron oxides.
