Badass With Heart

For some reason I thought I had more BH palettes.

Did anyone know that’s what BH stands for in BH cosmetics? I know I didn’t. I just happened to see it as I was scrolling around the website. Now I think there should be a heart in the logo 💖🥰

I know I am sounding like a broken record, but once again I only heard about this brand in the last few years. It’s really a shame you don’t find this right in the drug store. The same could be said for Juvia’s Place and Colourpop. You will find it at Ulta. Also like Juvia’s Place and Colourpop. And of course on the BH Cosmetics website…..https://www.bhcosmetics.com/.

The most expensive palette you will find is around $24.00, with the cheapest being around $9.00. The quality is absolutely amazing. I would say that BH Cosmetics can definitely compete with the more expensive brands.

The Palettes I Don’t Have

I actually have less BH palettes than I though I did. I honestly have not purchased anything in a while. It’s not because I am not interested. As I am scrolling the website, I did not know that half of these palettes existed. I think BH could use a boost in the marketing department. We all know about the “Brunch Palettes,” and the “Travel Palettes,” and of course “The Sweet Shoppes.” But what are these 9 pans? Optimistic AF and Lookin Like a Snack….just to name a few. I love a 9 pan palette. And these really appeal to me. But I had no idea that they existed. I knew the decades collection existed, but I never heard that much about them. There have definitely been some travel palettes added since I have last been on this site. Maybe Colourpop does launch too much, but at least we know about it.

If I had a BH wish list, about 6 of these palettes would be on it. If I had known about them, they would probably be in my collection….see what I mean?

The Palettes I Do Have

Blueberry Muffin was my favorite overall palette last year.

A few weeks ago, I posted about the Sweet Shoppe Collection. You can check it out here….https://myeyeshadowallergy.com/the-sweet-shoppe-collection/. Even though I cannot wear them, I think they are amazing palettes. BH proved that they can do monochromatic just as well, if not better than anyone. So far, this is the only BH formula that has not worked out for me.

“Blueberry Muffin,” was my favorite palette from last year. It is flawless, in my opinion, and definitely deserves it’s own post. Which it will get😉. Another palette I truly love is “The Zodiac.” First of all, I love the theme. Anything celestial, and I am interested. And this palette is incredible. I have seen people declutter this palette for the size….the layout…all kinds of things. I personally really like the layout, it’s different. The baked shimmers are stunning. I cannot see myself ever getting rid of it. There is a palette at Ulta called the crystal zodiac, that is not on BH’s website. Apparently, it is an Ulta exclusive. I might have to try it….do a celestial post.

The baked shimmers look very similar to “Galaxy Chic”, but I might still pick this one up.

A really lovely older palette that just doesn’t get any attention is the “Romantic Nomad.” This is an absolutely beutiful palette. It’s like part pastel and part grungy. It is a very unique palette, the formula is great. The pans are a little small, but does it really matter? Are you really going to use it all up because the pans are too small? Does your brush really not fit? (As of this writing, it’s on sale for $6.00)

Unfortunaely, my two favorite palettes by this brand are no longer available. One is “Zodiac Love Signs.” It’s a warmer version the “The Zodiac.” It’s not like me, but I actually think I like this version better than the original. I also missed this palette and then happened to see it at TJ Max. So if you do happen to see it somewhere, I would highly recommend you pick it up.

My other favorite palette is “Naughty.” This was a holiday release from last year. There were a few reasons it was so good….the packaging…yes….the formula yes (lots of holiday formulas fall short.) For me though, it was the color story. The variety was incredible….it was the only holiday palette you needed. I won’t go to much into it, because like I said, it is no longer available. If they bring it back, I will do a whole post. You just never know what they will do at the holidays! I just have a feeling we will see it again.

Romantic Nomad

Brushes

Like I said in my sweet shop post, I love BH Cosmetics brushes. With the exception of Sigma, they are my favorite. You can get a really nice set of brushes for between $20 and $30, so if you don’t want to spend that much on Sigma, you really can’t go wrong with these.

This is the Weekend Vibes brush set. I own this one….really pretty. I think I paid $30.00 but they are on sale now.

Other Makeup

This category is definitely a weakness for BH. They have a strong hold on the palette market, but don’t seem to be able to break into other categories. Although, I did see some highlighter palettes I would like to try, I think BH could really do a lot more with their collections. Take the Sweet Shoppes, for example, they could have done a whole line with blushes, highlighters, lips etc. How cute would that have been?

Basically, when I think BH Cosmetics, I think brushes and paletttes. They do these so well, I would love to see what they would do with other products.

Conclusion

BH Cosmetics makes some of my favorite palettes. If you have not tried this brand, I would highly suggest you do. Pick up the ‘Blueberry Muffin.” (If you like cool tones.) I really don’t see how you can go wrong with that one. The packaging…color story…formula…its just such a great palette.

I am really looking forward to what this brand does in the future. For now, I am testing “Hanging in Hawaii.” So far….it’s pretty badass😋

What are your favorite palette’s from BH Cosmetics?
